WAM were commissioned by Sheppey Heritage Trust and Swale forward to develop a full design proposal as part of an application to the ‘Living Landmarks’ Big Lottery Programme. The project was conceived to celebrate the achievements of the early aviation pioneers based at Eastchurch on the Isle of Sheppey. The project encompassed a multi use community space, exhibition and educational zones, workshops and offices. Public consultation and stakeholder engagement was key to the success of the project development process.
